Oh my dear Ladybbird, to say "It is simply just there" requires faith, faith we follow as Christians and also believing the scriptures to be the inspired words of God our Father, inspired to be written by the Holy Spirit. There is much Power in the Word Of God and much more power in the name of Jesus.

Beating Heart re: Power of Prayer >No Matter Which Faith YouFollow=GOD is With You

As always, my post are based on my beliefs and faith as a Christian. This thread is open to all and anyone else of different faiths and are free to post their beliefs as well. This is in no way my own personal thread. That being said, it is my belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and by His death on the cross and resurrection He is the only, only way for salvation and life eternal with our Father in Heaven. I believe in the Holy Spirit and His presents and guidance in my life through the scriptures of the Holy Bible, even though I am hard headed and don't listen as I should.
If anyone believes in Jesus and that he died for our sins and also believes that there are other ways of Salvation and to God, then Jesus died on the cross in vain. These are my beliefs and if anyone chooses to accept these beliefs as there own, then praise the Lord. If not, they are welcome to voice their own beliefs.
Do I believe that anyone that don't believe as I do is condemned to eternal punishment, well that's not for me to judge. I can only love any and all and hope and pray that all will see what I believe to be God's truth.
As I have said before, there is no other religion or beliefs in all the world other than Christianity that has literally thousands upon thousands of hymns and song singing praises to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three in one. Amen and amen.
My love to you all.......

Jesus is Beautiful
Gary Wilkerson

“Jesus is beautiful.” I hesitate to use this phrase because it carries so little power to convey the awesome reality of His glory. And I’m not using “beautiful” the way we normally do, meaning, “Isn’t she lovely?” or “Isn’t he handsome?” We can’t fathom all the depths of Jesus’ beauty —how glorious, amazing, wonderful, separate and unique He is.

Yet all His attributes bear saying again and again and again. Jesus is tender, kind, precious. He is full of majesty and splendor. He is wondrous, strong, mighty, powerful. He is clever, wise, outstanding. And He never fails!

Jesus never slips, He’s never weak and He’s never knocked down for a single moment. He is always listening to us and He always advocates for us. He never takes a break from fighting Satan for us, and never stops loving us even when we fail.

The Bible describes Jesus in ways it would never describe us. Isaiah says there was no deceit in Him, meaning He had no false motives. He didn’t preach to attract crowds or heal to impress people. It also says He was tempted in all ways, meaning that He was subject to every kind of battle you and I face. Yet He is so beautiful that even in those temptations He was without sin. In fact, He said of the Father, “I am pleased to do Your will.”

So how did Jesus describe Himself? He says He is gentle and humble in nature. Yet His use of the word “humble” does not mean self-effacing; His meaning is much stronger, suggesting He willingly lowered Himself from His rightful place in heaven to become human flesh. He set aside His reign from on high to take on a dependent form of divinity, so that as a man He relied on His Father to empower all His divine activities on earth. Talk about real humility! Who gives up power once they have it? And nobody has the kind of power Jesus possessed. What He did is beautiful!

The Spirit of Supplication
David Wilkerson

Let us look at Daniel’s prayer: “Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications … incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations … for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of your great mercies” (Daniel 9:17-18).

The word “supplication” is never used in the Bible except to denote a cry or prayer that is vocalized; in other words, it is not private or a meditation. Supplication definitely has something to do with the voice!

The Hebrew word for “supplication” signifies “an olive branch wrapped with wool, or some kind of cloth, waved by a supplicant seeking peace or surrender.” Simply put, these were flags of surrender and they signified a cry of total, unconditional surrender.

Picture a battle-weary soldier, ragged and worn, tired and overwhelmed, stuck in a foxhole of self-will. He is all alone and has come to the end of himself, so he breaks a branch off a tree and ties his white undershirt to it. He then lifts it up and crawls out of his foxhole, crying, “I surrender! I give up!”

This is supplication! It says, “I can’t fight this battle anymore. I’m lost and in despair.”

Supplication is not just calling on God to do what you want; it is not pleading with Him to assist you in your plans. On the contrary, it is a total giving up of your will and your way.

For centuries Christians have called on God while full of self-will, crying, “God, send me here, send me there, give me this, give me that.” But in the last days the Holy Ghost is going to fall with great power and produce a sense of spiritual bankruptcy. We will wake up to the fact that even with all our money, brains, programs, ministries, and plans, we have not even touched this world. The truth is, the Church has lost ground and become weak and pitiful.

There must be surrender! Our cries must be accompanied by a willingness to give up everything in our life that is unlike Jesus Christ.

The Kiss of the Savior
Nicky Cruz

When I speak in a crusade, I often search my vocabulary for words to express that supernatural sensation, the moment when Jesus stepped in and changed my life. But I have yet to do it justice. The best way I have found is through a simple analogy.

I tell people that I felt as if I were on an operating table, cold and angry and confused, and Jesus was the surgeon standing over me. My heart was broken. He gently reached over and closed my eyes, and then He opened up my chest, reached deep inside of me, and pulled my heart out. He held it in His hands, a heart filled with hatred and anger and bitterness that consumed me — the brokenness of my past and the curse that was destroying my life and soul.

Jesus slowly took my heart, brought it to His lips, and kissed it. He caressed it and mended the wounds. Then He placed it back inside my chest and closed me up. I knew in an instant that I was better, that my heart was no longer broken. At that moment I knew I was a new creation. I had a new heart — a heart of love and compassion and repentance. All the feelings of hate and resentment were gone. My sins were forgiven and at long last I was free!

I still fight back tears every time I use this analogy. The moment Jesus came into my heart and saved me is the most cherished experience of my life. Before that time no one had every kissed my heart. It was what I needed most from my new Father.

Thank you, precious Jesus!

The Danger of Coldness
David Wilkerson

Some who have backslidden tell themselves, “I can get right with the Lord whenever I choose. I’m just not ready. I’m not mad at God; I just need time with my friends, time to enjoy myself. I know God is loving and merciful, so when I’m ready, I’ll come to Him. I’ll know when that time is.” I hear these thoughts especially among young people who are drifting away.

The Holy Spirit has compelled me to show you the danger of coldness. It is not that God turns aside from those who backslide; His grace is offered continuously. The blood of Christ toward sinners will never lose its power, but spiritual coldness has a potent and predictable effect. It leads to hardness of heart.

The term “hardness” indicates a condition that is beyond the influence of any gracious pleadings, any persuading from the Holy Spirit. It begins with coldness — a self-imposed exclusion from God, with no intention of obeying the call of His gospel. Continuing in coldness to God’s voice — keeping distant from the Holy Spirit — will result in hardness.

Paul refers to this when he says that prior to Christ’s return, “There will come a falling away” (see 2 Thessalonians 2:3). He is speaking of a mass apostasy, to be followed by the release of an Antichrist spirit at that time. Those who “did not receive the love of the truth” (2:10) will fall under a great delusion; they will believe lies rather than truth. And those who turn away from Him who is truth will perish (2:10).

Hebrews offers this warning: “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:12–13).

A Different “Jesus”
David Wilkerson

Scripture speaks again and again of the fear of God: “Fear the Lord and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:7). “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil” (Proverbs 8:13). “In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil” (Proverbs 16:6).

When there is no fear of God, people have to invent a gospel of convenience.

The world has concocted a gospel in which there is no God and therefore no heaven or hell. There is no afterlife, with nothing and no one to answer to.

Where does Jesus figure into this gospel of convenience? He is very much a part of it — but it is another Jesus altogether! This “different Jesus” is presented as the essence of human love, a very tolerant person indeed. He embraces all religions, accommodates same-sex marriage, and declares that there is no such thing as good or evil. There are no sinners to this Jesus — and so there is no mention of sin, not even deviant behavior. His message is that you do not need to change because there is nothing wrong with you. There simply is no judgment or wrath in him.

Paul called this “another gospel” (Galatians 1:6). And he warned that those who preach it would “pervert the gospel of Christ” (Galatians 1:7). As you might imagine, it is a seductive gospel, appealing to many. And multitudes, especially young people, are caught up in it. This explains why growing numbers of Christian youth accept immoral behavior and same-sex marriage. Even many evangelical churches are adopting this seductive gospel. It is all happening just as Paul warned: “God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:11).

Why? You might ask, to separate the wheat from the tares....The wheat will not accept or believe the lies but cling to the truth of God's Word.

Use God’s Word to Increase Your Faith
David Wilkerson

The Spirit has been making it clear to me that all my praying is totally in vain unless I pray in faith. I can weep, fast, intercede, agonize and travail in prayer, yet make no impact with the Lord at all — unless I am doing it all with simple, childlike faith.

The Word says, “Let not that man [the doubter] suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:7).

The Lord commands us to trust Him. Yet, often we have so little confidence in Him, so little faith in His willingness and desire to answer our heart-cry. When we get to heaven, we will be amazed to discover all the blessings, peace and power we had at our disposal but did not appropriate because of our weak faith.

I challenge you to increase your faith. Ask the Lord to flood your soul with confidence in His willingness to over-answer your sincere prayers.

Do you want an increase in faith? When you go to prayer again, use the following Scriptures to reason with the Lord. He will not deny His own Word.
  • “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him” (Psalm 62:8).
  • “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler” (Psalm 91:4).
  • “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You” (Psalm 56:3).
  • “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him” (Proverbs 30:5).
  • “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me . . . and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

Hold on by faith! He will answer you.

My Perfect Friend And Father
Nicky Cruz

Today I am still a broken little boy inside and God is still my Father. Everywhere I go, I look to Him to walk beside me, hold my hand, lead me. When I stumble and fall, He reaches down and picks me up. He dusts off my clothes, kisses the hurt, and then continues with me down the road.

When I do something right, I see Him smiling, clapping, showing His support. When I do something wrong, He scolds and disciplines. When I get tired and weary, He holds me up, beckoning me forward and encouraging me not to give up. When I’m frightened, He takes my hand. When I’m sad, He kisses my heart.

I look to Jesus for help and guidance in everything I do, and He has never failed me. He has always been there when I needed Him.

This loving relationship I have with my Father is one that began more than fifty years ago. It hasn’t always been easy. At times I’ve pulled away from Him, tried to go my own way, even rebelled, but He has always been there to receive me with His arms outstretched, waiting for me to turn back to Him. His faithfulness has never waned — He’s the perfect friend and Father. My faithfulness to Him, however, was a quality I had to learn, one that I’m still working on every day. It’s a lifelong process.

When I first gave my heart to Jesus, I had no idea where this newfound faith would take me. I was scared and alone, wondering how He would rescue me from the people and things of my past, the gangs and drugs that held me captive. I didn’t know how to be His child, but He showed me, mentored me along the way. But throughout those years I witnessed firsthand what can happen when we allow God’s Spirit to be loosed within and among us, when we tap into His glory and allow Him to work and move and minister through us.

Might I add, as the ole saying goes,,,," If you don't feel close to God, guess who moved." God will never leave nor forsake us and as it says above, He always awaits us with open arms to return to Him.

Default re: Power of Prayer >No Matter Which Faith YouFollow=GOD is With You

This is a repost of a previous post which needs to double down. We know not the day or the hour but God is giving us plenty of signs to know the time is approaching quickly. Are you ready for His coming and part of His Bride? Believe the truth and not the lies.......

JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY PICKING HIS BRIDE!!!!!

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD:Through Repentance in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, and thereby living in Truth; Righteousness; Holiness and complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ. And living day by day while watching and waiting for the imminent return of the LORD Jesus Christ, the darling of heaven: That is the bride of Christ that Jesus Christ is coming to snatch and rescue to heaven.

UNDERSTANDING THE OPENING OF THE SEALS AND ALSO THE TRUMPETS & THE BOWLS OF THE WRATH OF GOD; IN RELATION TO THE RAPTURE OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST AND THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD:

When The Seals (of the Book of Revelation) are Opened, they are essentially a Wake-up Call to each and every human being on the earth (Including the Church) to get Right (Righteousness) with (before) The LORD and to Prepare the Way for the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. For behold, it marks the Beginning of Birth Pains (Sorrows/Distress of the Hour) upon the Earth. So don't assume that all the Seals are to be Opened after the Rapture of The Bride of Christ. Actually, almost all of them are actually Opened before the Rapture of the Bride of Christ.

The Trumpets & the Bowls of Wrath, on the other hand are Judgements of The LORD; The Wrath of God upon the Earth. Therefore, The Bride of Christ is meant to be on the earth when most of the Seals are being Opened; for most of the Seals are meant for a Wake-up Call, hence Preparation for the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. The Trumpets & the Bowls of Wrath on the other hand will not find The Bride of Christ on the earth.

The Bride of Christ is not meant for Wrath, that’s why The LORD takes her to safety in Heaven (To be in her Heavenly Mansions/Rooms/Chambers). She is taken to Heaven first, before The LORD releases and allows His Wrath upon the Earth. However, before she is taken to Heaven, she sees most of the Seals Being Opened. It is written in the Book of Isaiah 26:20-21 as follows: ‘“Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer.”’

Remember, it is also written as follows in the Book of 1st Thessalonians 5:9 which states as follows: ‘“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”’

The Seals are generally meant to Wake-up the People and the Nations of the earth. The 7 Trumpets and the 7 Bowls are The Wrath of God. The 7 Trumpets are the beginning of the Wrath of God, and the 7 Bowls Complete the Wrath of God upon the Earth. This is captured in the Book of Revelation 8: 1-2 which is written as follows ‘“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.”’ This is furthermore captured as follows in the Book of Revelation 15: 1 which is written as follows: ‘“Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.”’

The First 5 Seals of the 7 Seals have already been Opened. The next one on the line to be Opened will be the Sixth Seal. Once a Seal is opened, it operates at the same time as the other earlier opened Seals, and thereby causing an increasingly significant complex ongoing Distress and Birth Pains upon the Earth. In other words, they are both “Past Tense” and “Present Tense” at the same time.

The Rapture of The Bride of Christ occurs before the onset of The Great Tribulation Period.

Note that, the Opening of the Seventh Seal will signify the start of The Great Tribulation Period, when The Seven Trumpets of Judgments (Wrath) of The LORD will be unleashed on the earth One by One, at different but close enough times during the Great Tribulation Period. This will be followed shortly thereafter, by the Bowls of the Wrath of God; which essentially are a continuation of The Judgements (Wrath) of The LORD upon the earth, but to a Greater degree and intensity----The Bowls actually Complete the Cycle of the Wrath of God upon the Earth. The LORD Jesus Christ will then return to the Earth shortly thereafter, together with the Holy Saints (which include the Bride of Christ), to establish His Millennium (1,000 Years) reign upon the earth. He will be based in Jerusalem; for He has chosen Jerusalem as His City and Capital.

It is very important to note that the Opening of the First Seal (The release of the White horse and the Rider of the White horse) signified and signifies the onset of Deception and Apostasy (The Fall) in the Church, in this dispensation; the embrace of Homosexuality right in the Church (without calling it a Sin), “Prosperity” Gospel of compromise, The Rise of Chrislam (Christianity and Islam coming together, and indeed other religions like Hinduism, Buddhism e.t.c; to “Worship” together), the rise of The Red Dragon (The False Prophet) onto a Religious Authority. The rise of False Pastors (False Teachers) preaching a polluted, a defiled and a compromised kind of Gospel meant to deceive and entertain the itching ears, the roaming eyes and the itching flesh.

The Opening of the Second Seal (The release of the Red horse and the Rider of the Red horse) signified and signifies War and Bloodshed upon the earth. The Syria War, The Libya War, The rise of I.S.I.S, The rise of Boko Haram in Nigeria, The Rise of Al Shabaab in Somalia, The Russian-Ukrainian War over Crimea region E.T.C. Leading even to Migration Refugee Crisis in Europe e.t.c.

The Opening of the Third Seal (The release of the Black horse and the Rider of the Black horse) signified and signifies a Global Financial & Economic Crisis, and Famine. The Global Financial Crisis of 2008, Oil price War leading to Crisis in countries like Venezuela, Nigeria and other Oil Producing Countries. Historic Famine crisis in various countries and regions of the earth, including Ethiopia and South Sudan. The Greece Financial crisis that shook the European Union, The BREXIT that has left a hollow in the European Union. E.T.C.

The Opening of the Fourth Seal (The release of the Pale horse and the Rider of the Pale horse) signified and signifies Death upon the earth through various Distresses
, Including Terrorist Attacks by Al-Qaeda, I.S.I.S, Al-Shabaab etc. Also including Plagues (Mysterious Disease Outbreaks); Zika Virus, Ebola. E.T.C.

The Opening of the Fifth Seal signified and signifies Martyrdom. This has already started to take shape, especially the Slaughter (The Throat Slaughter) by I.S.I.S of Blind-folded and Paraded Believers in The LORD Jesus Christ, particularly in the Middle East (Iraq, Syria, Libya e.t.c). Also the sporadic and spontaneous Terrorist attacks by Al-Shabaab on believers in The LORD Jesus Christ, in Churches, Buses e.t.c in the nation of Kenya.

The Sixth Seal will be Opened very soon: Watch out for Historic Mega Earthquake (s) upon the earth, Watch out for Cosmic (Stellar, Astronomical, Planetary, Solar) Disturbance upon the Sky; leading to Historic Meteor showers upon the earth, Asteroids hitting the earth, Darkness upon the Earth. Watch out for Tectonic Plate movement of the Continents. Watch out for Polar Shifts. The GPS System and the Electromagnetic Communication systems will be affected, leading to a Global Electric Shock.

Just Watch and be Ready; for the Coming of The LORD Jesus Christ.

That means that everyone everywhere on the earth, needs to Seek The LORD and Pray & Plead for Mercy before The LORD, as they embrace Repentance for the forgiveness of their Sins through The Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ, and thereby walk in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ; in Preparing The Way for The Coming of The LORD Jesus Christ to Rapture (Sudden Take up into the Sky) His Bride (The Bride of Christ; The Faithful Sons and Daughters of The LORD) to Heaven.

The Messiah Jesus Christ is Coming to Rapture His Bride into Heaven, Let us Prepare The Way for the Coming of The LORD.

SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!!

Mathew 24: 42 ‘“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”’

Mathew 24: 44
‘“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”’

2nd Timothy 4: 3-5 ‘“ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”’

2nd Timothy 3: 1-5 ‘“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”’

Revelation 6: 1-17 ‘“I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword. When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been. I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”’

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE REPENTANCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, TRUTH AND COMPLETE SURRENDER TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA/YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH). TIME IS ABSOLUTELY OVER; THE MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY COMING TO PICK HIS BRIDE!!!

REPENTANCE PRAYER:

Precious Jesus,

I acknowledge today that you are LORD and Savior of all mankind,

and today I have recognized my shortfall,

I Repent and turn away from all Sin.

Please cover me with your Precious Blood,

and establish your Word in my life,

that I may be found in Righteousness and Holiness

and write my name in your Book of Life

and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit

in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus, and a Shepherd of The LORD,

Kevin Mirasi

Transcendent Joy
Jim Cymbala

Happiness ebbs and flows based on our changing circumstances. A new baby or grandchild is born, and we’re all smiles. We win a free vacation, and we’re ecstatic! The boss gives a big raise just when we need the extra money, and we’re elated. But the euphoria is only temporary. Inevitably something changes and takes our happiness with it. The baby gets sick; our vacation gets rained on; our job is eliminated by a corporate merger. The positive feeling is fleeting. At best we’re left feeling empty, and at worst, even angry.

So how do we get our happiness back when the situation changes? We can’t wish happiness back. We can’t chase it. Trying harder to regain it only produces frustration. If circumstances alone make us happy, then our situation has to change in order for us to be happy again. Yet, that’s precisely the reason we’re unhappy. We don’t, and never will, have control over the things that make for “don’t worry, be happy.”

Happiness is circumstantial and elusive, but joy is not circumstantial. We can have joy even when we’re not happy. Some may hear Christians talking about joy and think that joy is just a religious word for happiness. But joy differs from happiness. If the situation is right, anyone can experience happiness. Even people who don’t know God or who curse God can be happy. But they don’t have joy, for that blessing in life has a totally different source.

According to Scripture, the Holy Spirit produces joy. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23, emphasis added).

Isn’t it interesting that joy is mentioned immediately after love? Obviously God doesn’t want us to live depressed, cranky, bitter lives. He knows that happiness is fleeting, so through the Spirit, He gives us supernatural joy that transcends our circumstances. Joy is a beautiful gift that accompanies salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift imparted by the Holy Spirit to our innermost being.

I Have Learned the Secret
Gary Wilkerson

“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret” (Philippians 4:12, ESV).

The Holy Spirit gives us the secret of learning how to live when life is less than we want it to be; when we don’t have the resources that we thought we should have; when our dreams have not come true. Paul was saying, “I not only know that I can endure all things, but I have a secret and this secret is that I can live fully in times of plenty as well as times of hunger.”

How many of you know that sometimes we need to understand the secret of plenty more than the secret of hunger? When you’re living in abundance it is very easy to lose sight of your need for God. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, you become very dependent on the Holy Spirit. You are really praying.

We often think that the hard part for Paul was learning how to live in need. No, I think the hard part for Paul was learning how to live when he had abundance and I think the same can be true for us. But there’s this precious promise here that surpasses all our understanding. The promise that we can do all things through Christ and every need can be met. This additional promise is in verse 19, where we read, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory” (Philippians 4:19).

Again, this is in the context of saying, “I’m learning how to be abased. I’m learning how to go without anything and even in the midst of that, I know that God is going to supply every need.” It does not say want. It does not say ambition. It does not even say desire. It says, “God will supply every need.”

Jesus Responds to a Simple Touch
David Wilkerson

As Jesus was walking with Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue in Capernaum, to his home to heal his daughter, they were met by a woman who suffered from chronic hemorrhaging. For twelve years this woman had bled nonstop and was dying a slow death. Luke, a physician, wrote that she “had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any” (Luke 8:43).

The Jewish law declared such a woman “ceremonially unclean.” This woman saw many doctors, all who took her money and made promises to cure her, but after every appointment, she went home discouraged and her disease kept growing worse. At some point this woman must have thought, “It’s no use. My condition is hopeless. I’m going to keep suffering until I slowly die.”

Sadly, multitudes of Christians are doing just what this woman did. They run to any place that offers an answer and live under a cloud of fear because of their “uncleanness.” Perhaps this describes you. You’ve lived with a besetting sin for so long, you think, “What about my awful history of sin? If Jesus heals completely, then surely there’s something wrong with me. I don’t belong in the church. It’s a holy place, and I’m not clean.”

In Mark 5, we see this suffering woman reaching out one more time, persistent and full of hope. But this time, instead of seeing a physician who could not cure her, she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. As she touched Him, the Lord and Maker of heaven and earth paused for a moment and healed her instantly! He wanted to use that moment to publicly remove her reproach and show her that her faith healed her. Jesus wanted to relieve this woman of her sense of defilement.

Press in with faith and touch Jesus for yourself, as this woman did. He will heal you. If you are heavy with a grieving heart, unburden yourself to Jesus. Then commit all into His hands. Fear not, only believe!

He Cannot Be Shaken
David Wilkerson

David wrote in a psalm that the Lord “counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name” (Psalm 147:4). Think of it: David is telling us, “When you’re in pain, stop and look up. You’ll realize, ‘If God can do this, He certainly can meet my need.’” I agree. If in your pain you focus on the majesty of God, you will receive more than any answer a preacher could give you.

You may think God has failed you because He hasn’t answered. I tell you, your miracle word is on the way. He is at work on your deliverance right now and has been since the moment you first prayed. He has promised never to forsake you. The seas may roar, the mountains may fall into the sea, and everything that can be shaken will be. But He cannot be shaken, and neither can His purposes for His Church.

When you touch Jesus — when you touch the hem of His garment — you receive His power. When the bleeding woman touched Him, we are told that “power had gone out of him” (Mark 5:30). Some versions use the word “virtue” here, which means “power.” This signifies power over all uncleanness, sin and death.

Remember, He is the God who made all things — including you and me. If that God could create a clean heart in David, a murderer and adulterer, He can do the same in you. He can turn your life around.

Dear saint, Jesus is present with you right now in your battle. You can press in and touch Him as surely as the bleeding woman did. You can experience the resurrecting, healing power of Christ, no matter what you are going through. He is walking beside you through it and He has a plan to bring you out of death and into life. Fear not — only believe!

The Promised Power
Nicky Cruz

Jesus promised the release of His power and the Spirit on the lives of His followers, to move among them with signs, wonders, and miracles that would leave no doubt about His power in the eyes of a lost and hopeless world. He promised to send His Spirit to live among and inside them, to guide them as they took the gospel to every corner of the globe. He assured them that His Spirit would never leave them or let them down, and He expected them to put total faith and trust in this “still, small voice” guiding them in their hearts.

The prophet Joel foretold this power that would manifest itself upon followers of Christ. “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy; your old men will dream dreams; your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth” (Joel 2:28-30).

We have before us an opportunity to see the Lord’s might loosed on the world as never before. God is ready and willing to pour out His power, to perform miracles in the name of Christ the likes of which have not been witnessed since the resurrection of Jesus. But when and whether He decides to do that through our lives depends on whether we are willing to step out of our comfort zones, to reevaluate the way we think and believe, to forsake the things of this world, and to trust instead in God’s promise of provision.

Are we willing to put aside our own opinions and agenda and focus instead on the leading of the Holy Spirit?

Will we choose to believe in a big and powerful God?

From Paul To The Philipians And To Us All Today

Php 4:4* Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Php 4:5* Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Php 4:6* Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7* And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Php 4:8* Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Php 4:9* Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Php 4:10* But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
Php 4:11* Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Php 4:12* I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Php 4:13* I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Exercising Our Authority
Gary Wilkerson

While on their way to pray one day, Peter and John came upon a lame man lying at the gate of the temple asking for alms. Upon hearing his request, Peter told the man to look at them. The lame man expected to receive something from them but instead he heard Peter say, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” (Acts 3:6, ESV).

What an interesting phrase: “But what I do have.” Peter had inside of him the ability to proclaim, in the name of Jesus, “Rise up and walk!” Notice that Peter didn’t pray over the man before making this proclamation. Because he had the Holy Spirit within him, Peter knew what the Father was doing, so he could proclaim it a reality. In fact, he was so confident that he reached down, took the lame man by the right hand, and lifted him to his feet. Immediately strength entered the man’s feet and ankles and he began walking, leaping, and praising God.

There is a time to pray, “If it is Your will,” even when it comes to healing. There may be times when you are not convinced that the Lord is going to heal someone, but if you receive that sense of confidence in your spirit, don’t hold back! Begin to pray over people with faith, “You are healed in the name of Jesus!”

Extend this prayer to other situations:

“Your marriage is coming together in the name of Jesus!”

“You are set free in the name of Jesus!”

“My son/daughter is returning home in the name of Jesus!”

There is power in the name of Jesus! We need to exercise our authority to proclaim the Word of the Lord over people and circumstances because Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18).

A Song of Victory
David Wilkerson

We have a tender, loving Father who is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. Even Jesus wept in His trying hour. He knows our pain firsthand and He has sent His Holy Spirit to comfort us and speak hope and peace to our souls.

Interestingly, the world observes us as we face challenges, and expects us to sing a song in the midst of our hardest times. We see an example of this in the Word.

“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of it. For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, and those who plundered us requested mirth, saying, ‘Sing us one of the songs of Zion!’” (Psalm 137:1-4).

This psalm describes Israel’s captivity by the Babylonians, when God’s people had lost everything, including their homeland. Still, their captors wanted to hear the songs of victory that the Israelites were famous for. “Sing to us! We have heard about the great victory songs you offer to God so play them for us!” I don’t believe this demand was made in mockery alone; the Babylonians sincerely longed to hear a testimony. Their own religion had left them empty, dry and hopeless.

Likewise, today the world demands a song of victory from God’s people. What they really want to know is, “How are you going to react in this present crisis? We’ve heard that you think your God is faithful and powerful. So do you trust Him in times like these? Were your songs of deliverance in good times like a child’s fantasy? Or does your faith really hold up when hard times come?”

Our society is desperate to find hope and peace in these troubled days. They long to know the truth of Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You.” And they will look to God’s children for a testimony.

Put On the New Self

Col 3:1 You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God.
Col 3:2 Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.
Col 3:3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!
Col 3:5 You must put to death, then, the earthly desires at work in you, such as sexual immorality, indecency, lust, evil passions, and greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).
Col 3:6 Because of such things God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him.
Col 3:7 At one time you yourselves used to live according to such desires, when your life was dominated by them.
Col 3:8 But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. No insults or obscene talk must ever come from your lips.
Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old self with its habits
Col 3:10 and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.
Col 3:11 As a result, there is no longer any distinction between Gentiles and Jews, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarians, savages, slaves, and free, but Christ is all, Christ is in all.
Col 3:12 You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Col 3:13 Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you.
Col 3:14 And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity.
Col 3:15 The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful.
Col 3:16 Christ's message in all its richness must live in your hearts. Teach and instruct one another with all wisdom. Sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing to God with thanksgiving in your hearts.
Col 3:17 Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father.

God Will Never Leave Us
David Wilkerson

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11).

Believers in war-torn Iraq share, “Hard times are not coming — for us, hard times have been here for years.” They have known hardships for generations and they have learned to cling to faith. Because they have put on the whole armor of God, they are equipped to withstand evil and preach the gospel to those around them.

I truly believe the majority of godly people in the world today are under attack from hell, enduring devilish, seemingly hopeless situations. What about you? If you are not presently facing a test of faith, I urge you to be very thankful. But remain humble and be careful that you don’t boast of your own strength or faith.

Satan waits until the tested one is weary, drained of all strength and endurance. He waits until all prayers seem to go unanswered, until everything seems hopeless and we come to our wits’ end. It happened to Peter when he watched his Master being humiliated before the Sanhedrin (see Matthew 26:57-58). And it happened to Job when he was forced to ponder the loss of everything dear to him.

Questions begin to rise: “God, where are You? Why are my prayers not being answered?” Be careful, for right at that point Satan will implant his awful lie: “God has forsaken you. He does not hear you.”

Yet, God has not forsaken you — and He never will. He has instructed us to be prepared by putting on the whole armor of God and then He assures us that He will never leave us. “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Right now He is telling you, “I will never leave you.”

Pastor J.D. tries a unique approach concerning Christians and Bible prophecy with the hopes that all of us will examine ourselves by way of what Jesus had John write to two churches in the Book of Revelation.

Confidence in Jesus
David Wilkerson

The enemy comes roaring like a flood against saints who have no part in darkness. Satan can make it seem as if everything in their lives is coming apart: their prayers seem hindered, heaven seems as brass, and they suffer afflictions on all sides. At such times their heart might whisper condemnation: “You lack faith. If you only believed more righteously — if you were closer to Jesus, if your thoughts weren’t so evil — none of this would be happening to you. You would be on top, like those you see around you. You would enjoy abundance and hear clearly from God.”

Not so! Those referred to in Hebrews 10 who were under attack had a genuine faith that made them “draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith” (Hebrews 10:22). Indeed, they are addressed in this epistle as “holy brethren” in Hebrews 3:1. The writer knows there is a war for their hearts in the midst of great affliction.

Simply put, Satan’s main objective is to douse a believer’s light, to dim it or shut it off completely. Show me a Christian who suddenly comes out of spiritual darkness, bursting into the light of Christ and His holiness and purity, and I’ll show you one who is in for the fight of his life.

Does this describe you? Are you enduring a great fight right now? Beloved, it is most likely not because of doubt or sin, but because of the light you have embraced. Light produces confidence in Jesus, and the more light you receive, the greater your trust in Him.

It is your confidence in Christ that Satan is determined to shipwreck. He has aimed the powers of hell at you to drag you down in fear and unbelief. But even now God is taking a great interest in every matter touching your life: job, family, children, relationships, health. It is truly His concern; you matter greatly to Him.

Paul writes:

1 Thessalonians 4:1-18
A Life Pleasing to God

1Th 4:1* Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
1Th 4:2* For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
1Th 4:3* For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
1Th 4:4* That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
1Th 4:5* Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
1Th 4:6* That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
1Th 4:7* For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
1Th 4:8* He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
1Th 4:9* But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1Th 4:10* And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
1Th 4:11* And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1Th 4:12* That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
The Coming of the Lord

1Th 4:13* But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14* For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15* For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16* For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17* Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18* Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Man of Lawlessness

2Th 2:1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to be with him: I beg you, my friends,
2Th 2:2 not to be so easily confused in your thinking or upset by the claim that the Day of the Lord has come. Perhaps it is thought that we said this while prophesying or preaching, or that we wrote it in a letter.
2Th 2:3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way. For the Day will not come until the final Rebellion takes place and the Wicked One appears, who is destined to hell. (This being the anti-christ)
2Th 2:4 He will oppose every so-called god or object of worship and will put himself above them all. He will even go in and sit down in God's Temple and claim to be God.
2Th 2:5 Don't you remember? I told you all this while I was with you.
2Th 2:6 Yet there is something that keeps this from happening now, and you know what it is. At the proper time, then, the Wicked One will appear.
2Th 2:7 The Mysterious Wickedness is already at work, but what is going to happen will not happen until the one who holds it back is taken out of the way. (The Bride of Christ, the Church)
2Th 2:8 Then the Wicked One will be revealed, but when the Lord Jesus comes, he will kill him with the breath from his mouth and destroy him with his dazzling presence. (This at the end of the 7 year Tribulation.)
2Th 2:9 The Wicked One will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false miracles and wonders,
2Th 2:10 and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved.
2Th 2:11 And so God sends the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false.
2Th 2:12 The result is that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in sin, will be condemned.

God's signs our in the heavens and here on earth. Time is extremely short. Give your lives to Christ and trust in him always. Repent, believe and receive your salvation today.

The Source of All We Need
David Wilkerson

Few Christians doubt that Jesus is their source but they don’t always have confidence and assurance he’ll give them what they need. Here are a few wonderful reminders of the Lord’s concern for you.

He knows all about your personal needs. “For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask him” (Matthew 6:8).

“My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). You are being promised, “In Christ are all the riches of glory. In Jesus God has given you everything you need for life and godliness.”

God truly cares for you and he is touched by your need. “Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). The Greek meaning here is, “You matter to him.” This may be difficult to comprehend in the midst of your long affliction. But even now God is taking a great interest in every matter touching your life: your job, family, children, relationships, health.

“Do not cast not away your confidence, which has great reward” (Hebrews 10:35). God says, “Hold on to your confidence, because I am a rewarder.” Simply put: “It pays to hold on.” “But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Do you truly want to bring Christ pleasure? Then give him your total confidence. Hold on and don’t waver. And remember his promise to you:

“The just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul shall has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebrews 10:38–39).

False Teachers and True Contentment

1Ti 6:3 Whoever teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching of our religion
1Ti 6:4 is swollen with pride and knows nothing. He has an unhealthy desire to argue and quarrel about words, and this brings on jealousy, disputes, insults, evil suspicions,
1Ti 6:5 and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is a way to become rich.
1Ti 6:6 Well, religion does make us very rich, if we are satisfied with what we have.
1Ti 6:7 What did we bring into the world? Nothing! What can we take out of the world? Nothing!
1Ti 6:8 So then, if we have food and clothes, that should be enough for us.
1Ti 6:9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and are caught in the trap of many foolish and harmful desires, which pull them down to ruin and destruction.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil. Some have been so eager to have it that they have wandered away from the faith and have broken their hearts with many sorrows.
Fight the Good Fight of Faith
1Ti 6:11 But you, man of God, avoid all these things. Strive for righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.
1Ti 6:12 Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witnesses.
1Ti 6:13 Before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who firmly professed his faith before Pontius Pilate, I command you
1Ti 6:14 to obey your orders and keep them faithfully until the Day when our Lord Jesus Christ will appear.
1Ti 6:15 His appearing will be brought about at the right time by God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
1Ti 6:16 He alone is immortal; he lives in the light that no one can approach. No one has ever seen him; no one can ever see him. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.

We See Jesus
David Wilkerson

Paul wrote, “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).

He lived in a time when factions in the church abounded on the left and right, and they fought bitterly. Paul responded to the conflict by saying, “I have nothing to do with this. I am here for one purpose: to live and preach Christ crucified and risen. As a servant of the Lord, I refuse to get entangled in such things.”

Paul was then compelled to write to his young associate Timothy with the following warning: “The Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead” (1 Timothy 4:1-2, NLT). Paul’s warning here is clear: Men will appear preaching another gospel.

Right now, a false Christ is being preached even in some evangelical churches. Theirs is a Christ who calls for no repentance. It is a Christ who embraces immorality and same-sex marriage. It is a Christ of acceptance of false religions, all supposedly in the name of tolerance and love.

Today the church we see is often not as it should be. What is our response to this travesty? We see the real Jesus – the unchangeable Christ – standing victorious over it all! All other human-invented gospels will not offer one ounce of comfort in the hour of need.

As Paul instructed, we can’t let these kinds of issues distract us. We are not to be “corrupted from the simplicity [devotion] that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3). All around us the world is breaking down, but we see Jesus! We must trust that he is standing with us in our pain, our suffering, our cries, all things.

This young pastor from Australia really has a good and meaningful message. It's just 15 minutes and well worth the time to listen.

Yes but did you watch and listen to the video? So many people think that just doing good on their own without believing in or accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior will get them into Heaven. So it's not just the evil people but the proud and ungodly people also. This is one of Satan's greatest deceptions. They may not be listening to Satan but are unknowingly being misled and deceived by the lies of Satan/Lucifer or Devil, any of these names this fallen angel that's determined to lead God's people astray.
I don't know, maybe that's what you were getting at anyways.

My apologies if you missed the points I was trying to make Tarfoot...

EVIL people DO NOT READ THE SCRIPTURES FROM ANY 'BIBLE'...
Nor from any 'Quotes' therein..

Although your posts every day on your thread, have tremendous HITs, which (hopefully), some might learn and gain strength from...

The only real EVIL people I have knowledge of that finally turned to 'God'... are those that either knew they were dying.. OR ... were on 'Death Row'.

Children are NOT born Evil.. They grow and develope from their surroundings/upbringing and what they are taught & experience in their lives my friend..

God is around me 24/7. I dont need to read any quotes from any book of any religion..I just feel 'HIS' presence.. and it is a warmth of The Holy Spirit aound me, that I cannot explain..

But I can look into any person's eyes that I meet...and I know...

Simple as that..
.

I know what ya mean by you feeling His presence by the Holy Spirit. I also feel Him speaking to me thru His Holy Word by the Holy Spirit. I just need to learn to listen more closely when He is speaking to me, I'm learning.
Oh and yes the eyes are the doorway to the soul, be it light or dark, hopefully light.

SITTING IN UNBELIEF

Carter Conlon

I am convinced that God is initiating something truly significant in this hour; he has decreed a moment of mercy for America. No matter how set against Christ people’s hearts have been in the past, God is now presenting an open window. And so I do not want to spend all my prayer life crying out, “Please, Lord.” Instead, I want to pray, “Yes, Lord,” and find out what my part is. “Yes, Lord, what do you want me to do? Yes, Lord, what do you want me to say? Yes, Lord, where do you want me to go?

When God chose Rebekah to become Isaac’s bride, she had to move from where she was and go to where God was calling her in order for his plan to be fulfilled (see Genesis 24:58). Similarly, God is speaking to people today, telling them to get up and out of certain things. So rather than constantly saying, “Please, Lord, give me the grace to get out of this relationship. Give me the grace to cease this practice,” it is time to start saying, “Yes, Lord, you have called me to something deeper. You have called me to be a person who can boast of you to the point where others cannot help but bow their heads and worship. So I am no longer going to say, ‘Please, Lord’ while merely sitting in unbelief. I am going to agree with you, get out of where I should not be, and go to where you are calling me!”

Perhaps you already know what God is asking you to do. If he has spoken to your heart, begin with those things. If the Lord is asking you to forgive, then forgive. If he is asking you to speak truth, then do so. Until you obey what he has already told you to do, the other leadings of the Lord will remain hidden.

A very intriguing 3 min. video. Just how close are we to the coming of Jesus. Jesus himself said to keep looking up and be ready. We don't know the hour or the day but there are signs to let us know the time is close at hand.

A Lasting Righteousness
David Wilkerson

Brokenness is to give up all hope of attaining heaven by any measure of personal goodness. It is to lay down all trust in our own efforts. It is turning wholly to the victory of the cross of Christ, believing he is the only way. Finally, it means trusting him to empower us through his Spirit to live up to his claim on our lives.

We need brokenness and humility to keep walking in faith: “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

“Thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones’” (Isaiah 57:15).

No matter how I may feel, Christ is my righteousness. No matter how many doubts may arise, Christ is my righteousness. No matter how many accusations I hear from the devil during the day, I stand on this: God sees me as righteous in Christ!

“On this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word” (Isaiah 66:2).

Where is the Lamb of God now? He is in heaven, seated on his throne, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace. One day all the religions of the world will bend their knees before Jesus and confess he is the Lord. “Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that he was — he is — the everlasting Lamb of God” (see Philippians 2:10-11). Behold, the Lamb of God!

The Purpose of the Holy Spirit
Nicky Cruz

The primary purpose of the Holy Spirit is to empower God’s people to reach the lost and draw people to the cross of Jesus Christ. Just as he convicts us of our sins, he also moves in the hearts of unbelievers, bringing them face to face with their iniquities and failures, with the futility of their lives apart from God.

When Jesus was preparing his disciples for his departure from Earth, he told them, “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning” (John 15:26-27).

Jesus tells us that we know the truth of the gospel because God’s Spirit has revealed it to us through his words. The Holy Spirit has testified to God’s grace and goodness. Our confidence in our position in God’s kingdom comes not from our own hope and imagination, but from the Creator himself, from his gentle whisper in our soul. It’s how we know that God’s love is real and definitive and unwavering.

Jesus went on to explain the Holy Spirit’s role like this: “When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me” (John 16:8-9).

It isn’t our job to convict people of their sin. The Holy Spirit is already doing that. And we are not here to judge people for their sins. Our role is to simply be there for them, to tell them about Jesus, embrace them in their pain and suffering, and love them into God’s wonderful kingdom.

Jesus came not to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17). Shouldn’t we have the same attitude?

Power from on High
Gary Wilkerson

There comes a time in every believer’s life when the Spirit must move in a way that’s external from us. We need him to do the work that’s needed — to speak, touch, deliver. That’s exactly what happened when the disciples couldn’t cast a demon out of a suffering person. Jesus told them, “This kind comes out only by prayer and fasting” (see Mark 9:29). In other words, it required utter dependence on God. We have to say, “I can’t do this in my own power. It requires God’s strength.”

If your marriage is falling apart, it needs a living word from God that is clothed in power, not merely a theological word.

Churches are a dime a dozen if they are not clothed in power. It doesn’t matter how many elders are called in to provide counsel. A clear decision can be made by one or two who are clothed with power. All of this calls for time on our knees, waiting and trusting God to supply the need in his almighty power. And he delights to meet us! Jesus told the disciples, “I am sending the promise of my Father upon you” (Luke 24:49). This promise comes not by anything we do, but by the grace of our loving Father.

I tell you, when his power comes, there is nothing like it. We not only have a sense of the Spirit in us, but everyone in the vicinity does as well. A glorious presence descends, and everyone knows they are on holy ground.

The disciples needed prayer and fasting just to cast out one demon. We need it to face an entire wicked culture. Change will come only through power that arrives from on high. That calls for a people who are not only filled with the Spirit, abide in the Spirit, and walk in the Spirit, but who wait faithfully on the Spirit to be clothed in power by him.

Only Believe!
David Wilkerson

I am amazed at our Lord’s loving response to grief. As I read the Bible, I see that nothing stirs the heart of God more than the soul that is overcome with grief.

Grief is defined as “deep sorrow” or “sadness caused by extreme distress.” Isaiah tells us the Lord himself is acquainted with this most wrenching emotion: “He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3).

We see a powerful example of God’s loving response to grief in Mark 5, where we read of Jesus’ encounter with Jairus, a synagogue ruler.

As president of the synagogue in Capernaum, Jairus was part of a religious system that had rejected Jesus. We don’t know what Jairus personally thought about Christ, but we do know he had witnessed his healing power. It was most likely in Jairus’ synagogue that Christ healed a man’s withered hand. And Jairus was probably among the crowds when Jesus cast out evil spirits and heard them cry, “You are the Son of God” (Mark 3:11).

We find that grief had come to the ruler’s house. His twelve-year-old daughter lay in bed, sick “at the point of death” (Mark 5:23).

Grief alone had driven Jairus to Jesus. The fact is, we serve a Savior who responds lovingly to our every hurt, pain and grief. We all have done what Jairus did. In times past we have forgotten the Lord, neglected him, perhaps even rejected him. Yet the question our God is most concerned with is this: “Where are you with me right now? In your present grief, will you call on me?”

Dear saint, Jesus is present with you in your battle. You can press in and touch him and experience the resurrecting, healing power of Christ, just as Jairus did. He is walking beside you through it all and he has a plan to bring you out of death and into life. Fear not — only believe!

The Secret War
Carter Conlon

The Bible clearly warns, “Today, if you can hear his voice, do not harden your heart as they did in the days of provocation” (see Hebrews 3:7-8). In other words, do not ask as Israel once did in her unbelief, “Can God furnish a table in this wilderness?” (see Psalm 78:19).

Do not question the Lord’s integrity or his commitment to you, even though you find yourself constantly battling in your mind. God told you that he would raise you up to be a testimony. He told you that he has allowed certain things in your life but that all things work together for good because you love him and are called according to his purpose.

And now the Lord is calling you to get up. He is calling you to lift your head and sing that song he has put within your heart. You are the Bride of Christ, and God stakes His reputation on keeping you and establishing a testimony of victory inside of you.

Therefore, settle it in your heart today: “He is my glory and the lifter of my head. Even though I might be depressed when I go to bed at night, he is the One who will lift my head in the morning. He is the One who will give me strength to go through another day. If God has planted a dream in my heart, it will become a reality, for he has set before me an open door that no man can close. No matter how many voices rise up against what God has spoken to me, I will not harden my heart in unbelief!”

So do not lose heart in the midst of the secret war you are fighting. Refuse to listen to the lies. Don’t give up! Rather, hear God’s voice calling you today. He will be faithful to supply all you need—strength to get through the day, courage to stand in the marketplace, faith to believe for all your needs.
