Our Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to give You praise for the many good things You have given us. We thank You for Your love and the families that You have given each of us. We thank You for the gifts of sun, wind, and rain. We realize that the destruction and loss of the past week, while tragic , are a part of Your plan. We thank You for the air we breathe so that we may spread Your love and truth to others.

In our lives, we have times that are wonderful, times that are tearful, times that are peaceful and times that are trying. In all of these, we ask that You help us and guide us, in order for you to be glorified in everything.

Father, we know there will be moments throughout our lives when we struggle personally or as a family . For some, those times have been more frequent as of late. Some struggle with finances , sickness, death, natural disasters, and even struggle with faith itself. We know each of these should be lifted up to You so that You may handle it in your way . Often, it is difficult for us to let go and let You take full ownership of our lives so Your will be done . We pray for You to guide us, ease our anxiety and let us give all areas of our life to You.

We thank You for your grace and forgiveness . You sent your son to die on the cross to give us a second chance , a chance to be forgiven , a chance to live for you and a chance to show love and forgiveness to others . All too often, we fall short and because of Your sacrifice , we can face tomorrow with a new sense of grace, love and life.

Father, we yield to Your will and plan for our lives. We ask Your forgiveness for our sin and for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us. We love you and cherish every moment we spend with You and for your kingdom. We pray all of this in Your Son's holy and precious name, our Savior and Lord.
