Default A Call to Humility

A Call to Humility
By Dan Payne

If you are a genuine and true Bible believing Christian then you're about to be seized. All those who continue to believe on the Lord Jesus are about to be physically seized.

I say “continue” to believe because there are many who profess to be Christians but they are abandoning whatsoever little belief they have had for Jesus and the inerrant truth of the Bible in the past and they are beginning to believe the lies of Satan in droves.

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).

There are way too many signs happening now at a far greater pace than any of us could have ever imagined. The writing on the wall is now so obvious it's as if hellish graffiti is being sprayed on the face of every world wonder and monument.

Very soon we are either going to be seized by Satan through the hands of men or seized by the Lord Jesus Himself at the Rapture. Either way it will be a humbling experience. The less arrogant and proud you are now the less shame you will feel then, no matter who seizes you first.

If you are first seized by mankind, they will strip you of your clothes and your dignity. They will mock and ridicule you. The kinder you have walked toward them, the less shame caused by guilt you will feel when you are 100 percent exposed.

Think about it, when the Lord Jesus felt shame on the cross it was because He bore our sins and our shame. He was sinless Himself and could not have felt shame caused by His own guilt because He walked perfectly and humbly before all mankind.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).

Jesus despised the shame because He despised our sin. Again, the more humble your walk right now the less shame you'll feel when you are seized. And again, it doesn't matter who seizes you first, whether it's wicked mankind or God Himself.

The Judgment Seat of Christ is no place for wimps. The more obnoxious you are here on earth the more shame you will feel at the Judgment.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men” (2 Corinthians 5:10-11a).

Make no mistake; if you are a true and genuine believing Christian then you will be seized. Although Satan will have full authority over mankind during the Tribulation, no one knows just how many believers he will be able to seize before the Tribulation.

Satan is surely doing his best to seize as many believers as he can until he is given the full authority to do so after the Rapture. Jesus Christ will also seize all true believers at the Rapture when He is given the order to do so by the Father.

Please brothers and sisters, children of Almighty God, walk in humility toward one another and the world. A proper defense is one thing but perpetual offense is quite another.

Think twice before joining in on the fight. Think twice before continuing to attack when you know that the writing is on the wall for mankind. It is getting increasingly difficult to fight against the global force of evil that will usher in the judgment of God Almighty.

There are many good hearted and well-meaning true believers who would vehemently disagree with my last statement. Well I stand by that statement with all of my heart because it is based upon the commandments of Jesus Christ.

Think about it, didn't Jesus tell us when we were supposed to lift up our eyes and look to the skies? Didn’t He explain to us very clearly what signs to look for at the dawning of His Day?

“So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors” Mark 13:29).

What is His enduring command to His Bride, the Church?

Is it “fight all forms of evil wherever thou goest” or is it?:

“And He said unto them, ‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature’” (Mark 16:15).

Did the Lord Jesus teach while pointing the barrel of a gun or the blade of a sword? Or did He humbly walk among the mighty and the weak, among the heroes and the zeroes, and among the healthy and the sick?

Jesus could have very easily won over followers of His strength and earthly power but He wanted humble hearts, not haughty heads. Anytime He performed a miracle that clearly demonstrated His power over the earth, He did not gloat about it but instead He remained humble:

“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, ‘Master, carest thou not that we perish?’ And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, ‘Peace, be still.’

And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said unto them, ‘Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?’ And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, ‘What manner of Man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?’” (Mark 4:37-41).

Jesus had obviously been walking so humbly among these men that they were startled and exceedingly afraid when He demonstrated His power over the physics of the earth. Had He been exalting Himself instead of His Father, those who were with Him would not have been so afraid when He simply brought peace in the midst of a storm.

He maintained His humility even after He performed miracles that demonstrated His great power, all the way until His death on the cross.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:5-8).

“He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked” (1 John 2:6).

If you find yourself in a circumstance where it’s difficult to humble yourself amongst the evil that surrounds you, just remember that there will be a particular place and a particular time when Jesus Christ, along with you, will display His fierce wrath and mighty power:

“And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19:14-15).

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
