wasted 8 hours

I tried to upload 3 movies today and succeeded in one only.
RS is really peeving me.
Got so hot under the collar they got a roasting via email.
I'm a free user so don't expect super speeds up or down, but I do expect them at least to go up!
All parts stalled about 75% of completion, after the third attempt with it also failing, I am now going via HF.
With crap like that happening, how in heck can they attract new customers, because any thoughts I had about doing so, won't be happening now.

Need to look into other file hosts than them. Some that will leave files in place as long as they are downloaded, but deleted after 60 days if they don't get the hits.

Hi,
I dont know what method you are using to upload, but have you tried their own
RapidShare Manager 2 (RSM2)

I wonder if it has a better success rate as its there own software?

As an alternative filehost, Fileserve.com seems to be a big hit with uploaders/downloaders ( including their free members ) but at the moment they are making massive site changes to make their service even better, so they said to expect temporary difficulties.

Filesonic links are all over the net, but, they are getting a bad press because downloading from them is problematic at times.

HF are banning uploaders accounts.

Good luck in finding a more suitable/reliable host.:thumb:

well I find Mediafire quite useful even for free users they give good upload and download speeds :)

you should try megashares though you will have to split the file unless you are a premium user I think its 400 megs per file but dont quote me on that ...lol

Thanks to all for the info.

My files at max are 200Mb parts, anything too big and I'll be here till Xmas. Upload speed not good. ZZZZzzzz

I go direct to RS and upload through main page after I log in.

Got to find a host that holds my files like RS does - indefinite, even if it is capped at 10Gb for example, that's okay. Also if not downloaded in a specific time frame, it gets deleted, that's okay too. I got some on RS that's been there almost 2 years. Space taken on RS server is about 14Gb approx.
