Being a member on Site X for some time now I often watch for others uploads who state they are unable to locate movies with either better quality or fully English (no subs), and if I have it, I share it. So I uploaded one yesterday for him, only to get a PM back wanting it as a full dvd (fat chance of that) or a 1.4 Gb size. Not on your life, it would take me at least 2 days to upload that size and I am not a Premium user on MF so am careful with the sizes so I can upload more.
Talk about ungrateful people, well no more, I have rare movies here at home to share, but that caps the lot.
I can tolerate (only just) when people don't say thanks for an upload, but when they start ordering them in size and type, forget it.
The cabinet on my rare ones is locked permanently.
Am I angry, yep. I will no longer help out people like that, and as for site X, it has seen the last of my help.

I was also a very active member of a gaming site years ago. I also seen that only a few site members would say "thanks for the help". But I was young and stupid back then and it didn't bother me. Members would ask for Certain Information that would unlock there demo' games, I would find it and sent it to them. Then members would start complaining that the info' didn't work and I discovered that they where using the info' on different version of the game. So I then started matching the Game & the Info together and storing them on my own 10Mb WebSpace. Some members would then complain that the Files where not found even though I would post a Time & Date that the File Link would be valid for and they where trying to access them after this Date. I pulled the plug when I was abused for not having what a member wanted. This my seem petty now but back then Dial-Up was how you accessed the internet (3.4kb per second - max speed). And like my friend above, I also locked away the skills that I had at gathering resources and picking locks.

I can relate to that. If people would just say thanks for what I or others can offer but of the best possible quality rip, I personally would go well out of my way to satisfy most requests, now though and perhaps owing to age, it gets to grinding one's nerves to never get the thanks or to have complaints because their sticky post on Board X contains certain sized files for others, and that frustrates me as the booger didn't even have the movie to start with. No thanks, kiss my butt or an acknowledgement in the post of where it was obtained. Don't that beat all!
Well he has shot himself in the foot, there will be no more help from me and as I have been collecting movies for more years than he has been born, you bet I got some hard to find ones, or VHS and DVD short time releases, and like you the dvd's/vhs's (like your knowledge) will remain under lock and key.
