Hi all Dreamers out there,

I'm moving house,just down the road from where I am now, but as my isp can no longer offer me the deal I'm on at the moment, a big price rise which I can not afford it will take me some time to get another isp, which will be at lower speeds, That I know for sure and am furious about.

So I'll be offline, hopefully not for to long, but I will be back

Untill then, Make sure Ladybbird is supported to keep this great site up and running.

I have 2 days left, so will be downloading like there is no tommorrow.

Sorry to hear about your ISP woes pop.

Just curious........are you currently using wireless broadband, adsl or a cable service?



Dodo have some ok unlimited adsl deals (adsl 1 or 2....and a few different speeds if I recall correctly...and it's proper unlimited).....and they have bundles as well.

I know what ya mean on ISP pop, except I moved to a different country. Went from 12mbs download, 4mbs upload at 40 a month in ny to half that at 100 a month here, plus a monthly bandwidth usage limit to boot @.@ Rogers cable sucks, and from what I hear, bell won't be getting FIOS to our neck of the woods for at least another 2 years, then I can get almost what I had in NY.

I thought I saw Ladybbird flying over my house last night to help me move, but after looking closely and noticing she wasn't coming down from being a pilot I realized she is full of hotair

Dodo don't have a good name or service, was thinking about tpg, but haven't looked anything up yet, could go back to Beagle????

adsl2, but the server has to be with telstra, or its adsl1 from anyone else.

If I recall correctly TPG will either be expensive, or have a data limit (like 200GB or something, I can't remember).

Dodo (ADSL) uses Telstra dslam, I know a few people that have used them since 2007 with no problems.......bundled with home phone.

I wouldn't use Telstra as an ISP bro, you may get good service but all their plans are really crap lol

Anyway My move went well
and now connected to net again, after signing a 24 mth contract with telstra 50 gig plan for $49.95 per mth and maybe supply me with adsl2+ I thought great.

Then thinking oover night I thought NO I want them to be clear about adsl2+ and told me no they haven't got anymore ports, so I told them to cancel my order, so they did.

I than rang TPG for the 3rd time and yes they could give me adsl2+ 50 gig same price 6 mth contract,and changeto 200 gig I think for an extra 20 bucks per mth.

So I took that and now getting just over 4 Meg/second, so I'm happy with that.

The don'ts I don't like are daily 10 gig from 8am to 2 am than 40 gig from 2am to 8am , Thats doesn't sound right, maybe thats per month, which sux, I'd better ring and find out what they mean.
