Dramatic Rescue of Two Window Cleaners After Their Platform Collapsed SIXTY NINE Stories High at One World Trade Center

A scaffold malfunction has left a team of window washers dangling fifty stories high over New York City. The incident occurred at One World Trade, the tallest building in the Western hemisphere at a staggering 1,776 feet. The Fire Department of New York City said it responded to a call from the building shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.

The New York City Police Department and Emergency Services were also on the scene.

In the end, FDNY broke a window on the 68th floor to get the two men that were trapped off the scaffold and safe inside the building.

The workers were going up the building when one of the motorized cables supporting the scaffold snapped or came loose.
