Default HDD Hard Drive Issues

Click Start, Run. Type CMD and press Enter.
In the Command prompt window type where i: is the drive to check yours may be c:
fsutil dirty query i:
Press Enter.
If Windows reports a "dirty" verdict, type
chkntfs /d
Press Enter.
This will force a disk check on reboot and return the disk to it's default state(without wiping data), hopefully resolving the issue in the process.
