Friday, June 12 — Psalm 74:18–23
Ecclesiastes 3:9–5:20; 2 Corinthians 11:16–33

Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. Ecclesiastes 5:10 (NIV)

Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he (the Lord) has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

Lord, we are richer with you in our lives than we could ever be without. May we follow your path of righteousness and renounce greed while growing in our love of Christ. Amen.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
