I've a past history where at one time I did torrents. Unlike the majority I could see the handwriting on the wall when man-in-the-middle IP harvests started. I never did do public trackers, preferring smaller, more secure sites.

Cyberlockers were the answer when I was looking for some other way with more security than torrents offered. Still here as nothing else has emerged on the horizon with a better chance of security/privacy.
