I guess that could be considered creepy. I didn't see it though. There has been occurrences of people seeing people and things in there though. No one lives in there now, but at the time Sarah and her hired servants lived there. As you read, she just kept building to keep the spirits at bay.
As I may have explained before, I am Irish and the seventh child of a seventh child and I do have the "gift". I used to have it very strongly but had it blessed out of me because I couldnt take that even when I touched people I would know about them and their problems and even looking at the outside of a house I would know if the people living there had problems. After I fractured my skull and lost my memory for a year, and suffered brain damage, when the long term memory came back somewhat, the "gift" returned, but not as strongly as before.

I have had some very strong experiences of spirits, the worst was when I was at a training college, and myself and some other students and an instructions experienced an evil spirit, who tried to harm some of us by putting pressure on our whole bodies to stop us moving or calling out. When it happened to me I started to pray and the pressure lifted and the room was icy cold. The other 3 students in the dorm room with me all experienced it at the same time. It was pretty scary I can tell you. But I blamed the students, as they wanted to cheat on their exams and used a oujia board to call on spirits to help them with the questions on the exams. Despite my warnings this was very dangerous, they continued and the hauntings were the result.

Then once when I was with my family on holiday in Scotland, we went underground to see the "old" city of Edinburgh and ‘Mary Kings Close’. This had been closed up when all the residents that had the plague were put inside that area and it was sealed up to prevent the plague spreading. It had been closed for many many years, but had recently been reopened to the public whilst we were there. In fact the reopening was so new that they didnt even have tour guides organised and we could go in for free. Now it has been commercialised and its very expensive to have access on a guided tour.

Man that was something else, as we did the tour I experienced some things and on each event I told the guide what I was experiencing and in which room and exact position of what was happening and who was "there". The guide investigated and found out that what I had explained, had been reported before by some others with the "gift".

Folk should never mess with these things, it is extremely dangerous and should only be handled by experienced people who have the power and white gift to deal with it.

The oujia board opens up a portal to the other side and the evil stronger spirits get "through" first.

I will definately be visiting Sarah's house, when I have the money to do so.

Here are some links about Edinburgh and ‘Mary Kings Close’, which is very close to Edinburgh's castle

We also explored some others of those underground "closes" that had been closed up. Very creepy indeed. I would not recommend anyone taking their younger children to see them. They are very dark, dank and very unpleasant, but fascinating just the same. We also visited the haunted graveyard and tombs close by at night. You can volunteer to be closed up in a tomb for a short period. Some smart axxes that were there for a laugh stepped forward and were "entombed" for 5-10 mins. Boy were they different people when they came out. Quiet, pale and they headed off to a nearby pub as soon as they came out.

This is a NO NO for those of weak disposition and they refuse to allow you to go on the tours if you have any health issues, especially heart conditions..... for a damn good reason.
