Default Re: MPAA Using Megaupload Case as Backdoor SOPA

All the copywrong groups use intimidation. They'll spend gobs of money in court to get some ruling set up and then try to change the ruling into what they want it to say. In this case, it's by hook and crook to get what they want.

If you go to watching Brein they do that a lot. Case after case will be tried and then they will try to use the outcome to say something else when they go for the intimidation routine. Most folk can't afford the cost of justice; it's expensive. So Brein gets it's way by default. Every once in a while you catch someone with money that knows what is what and fights and wins the case.

Here is a prime example of a failed attempt at getting a law passed. Since it didn't they will try to make it law by the route of going through court. If the court rules their stance is legal, it's just as good as if it were made law. Well, maybe not quite as good but good enough for their purposes. This is why they get so many laws in their favor. If lobbying won't work, then some other method will.

As an observer of these types of actions, what it teaches you is that the copywrong gang are some slimy creatures. No wonder no one likes a lawyer when you see the outcome of some of these cases.
