Default Re: Why The Copyright Lobby Loves Child Porn

The entitlement attitude that the copywrong gang has is just amazing to me. This idea that every release of product should somehow bring them massive profits, no matter how bad the item. That something has to be done to protect those profits and ensure that every penny is wrung from the sales. This despite the general rule of being that business is a risk. If you fail to deliver what the market demands that it won't be purchased is null and void when it comes to the copywrong gang.

All of this is just one huge scheme. Pay enough money to buy the laws and then figure out how to get the taxpayer to pay for it instead of those who would benefit. This can be seen over and over in the trade treaties that have been passed and are being proposed.

This idea that blockers, filters, and control of the internet to further profit lines is something I touch on from time to time as I understand well how they are working it. Child porn is one of those items that as soon as you are not for the actions being proposed, suddenly becomes 'what is wrong with you that you are not against this dirty trade being done'. It is never portrayed with the real reason that it isn't the idea but the action that is the problem.

Then too, it is a fine demonstration by both sides that neither really grasp the essence of the web and what is or is not feasible. You will notice in last weeks' news that the same filters now in place in the UK and in The Netherlands aren't working. The copywrong groups go time and again to the courts to get this or some other action reenforced only to have it nullified even before they can get it acted on.

This is but another example of an intention that can't and won't work by people determined to make it work and failing utterly because of a lack of understanding basic principals of how the net functions.
