Over and over again, filters have proven to be used to censor individual freedom of speech and political speech. It's always sold as either being 'for the kids' or it's to prevent 'copyright infringement'. Once in place, the list of what is banned is always secret because you could learn where you aren't supposed to go.

After it is secret, there is no one watching what is put on the list nor why. Australia came up against the same thing. This is the real reason why filters and firewalls are sought to be put in place. It is censorship plain and simple that is the real goal.
