If you are not wanting to do a lot, they've got Linux down pretty much to where it is like operating Windows. If you are really curious you can down load what is called a live disc. You burn it to cd and run it off the cd. Nothing gets put on your hd. Only thing is read speeds are a lot slower on dvd/cd readers than the HD. So it runs sort of sluggish that way. Still you can test drive Linux without changing anything at all on your Windows or computer.

You might try Knoppix if you are interested.
