Default Re: UK High Court Rules-All Pirate Bay ISPs Blocked

I very much agree it was not a smart move. It is why it's the poster child being given all the attention. If there is one thing the copywrong industry can not stand, it is being ignored and worse being made a fool of (even if they deserve it).

What will happen with TPB will be what has happened to other hard nut cases. Eventually they will find the method to get it shut down. That method may be new laws targeted directly at it (tried many places), the going after the owners criminally (tried as well and Sunday and gang gave up control of the site which allowed it to continue), or some collusion similar to what happened with Megaupload. At least this is what I expect to happen in the long run.

They've already tried stopping payment through Paypal and credit cards, already tried new laws, as reflected not only in Sweden but in Germany, UK, and The Netherlands, and they've tried the step for law enforcement to find, including bribing the investigating police officer with a job, putting data on the server to be found in the hosting site (later proven), and busting the owners. It will get run down sooner or later, it's when, not if.
