So I gather there are more that don't like the ads and don't like being tracked. So I will give you a list that seems to be effective for me and if you use Firefox, may be effective for you too.

Notice that I say maybe. Firefox of late has been on a rampage of breaking old extensions as it updates like crazy. So often these extensions work and then don't work when the update happens.

Anyway here's my list of stoppers for the browser...
Adblock Plus
Adblock Plus Popup Add on
Element Hiding Helper for AdBlock
Beef Taco
Better Privacy
Firegloves
Ghostery
Https Everywhere
NoScript
Redirect Remover

Many of those are not for blocking advertisers but are security related. I list these because many may not be aware those items exist. Call me paranoid or just I like my privacy, don't care which.
