I wouldn't touch IE either.
I've long since stopped using FireFox too.
Consider trying OPERA Browser. Much faster and way more efficient. It also has most of what you need included so you don't have to find and install add ons.
I realize preference is a big factor in choosing a Browser, but if you haven't tried it, maybe it's worth a look?
