Billy Connolly Can't Share Bed With Wife as Parkinson's Makes Him Sleep Like Wild Animal
The comedian is 'laughing and singing or having fights' in his sleep

Billy Connolly can no longer sleep in the same bed as wife Pamela Stephenson because Parkinson’s disease causes him disturbed nights.

“I sleep like a wild animal,” the comedian said. “Laughing and singing or having fights. Pamela has to sleep in another bed.”
Admitting he is concerned he has “become a pain in the arse”, he credited his wife of 30 years for plumping his pillows for him every night.
“So far, she has never tutted,” he added. “And she’s a rather attractive nurse.”
Billy, 76, said he has “good days and bad days”, recounting: “One day my hearing went, then my balance went, my sight got worse.
“It feels as if everything is being taken away from you and you watch it go.”
He revealed that he struggles to perform tasks like putting money into his wallet but said his illness “brings out the best” in others who show kindness when he needs help.
If you say, ‘I can’t get up, could you please help me out of my chair please?’ no one ever says, ‘Why?’ They just do it. Maybe it’s just me, but I live this magical life.”
