Royal Baby First Pictures: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reveal Son to The World

New parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are proudly showing off their adorable new royal baby Archie in the cute photos

Daily Mirror UK, 8 MAY 2019.

In a touching video the new dad is gently cradling his newborn baby son with Meghan's arm linked in his.

In her first public remarks since giving birth the Duchess said: "It's magic, it's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I'm really happy."

As her husband held their son, Meghan, wearing a white sleeveless wrap dress, added: "He has the sweetest temperament, he's really calm."

As they both laughed, Harry said: "I don't know who he gets that from."

Meghan added: "He's just been the dream so it's been a special couple of days."

Archie - wearing a soft woolen hat - can scarcely be seen but his parents both have wide smiles as they unveil their son to the world.

Amid surroundings steeped in royal history, the latest roual baby made his debut behind closed doors, with a small press pool of only one reporter, one photographer, three cameramen, as well as the couple's own private photographer and a household press officer photographer.
Asked how he was finding parenting, Harry said: "It's great. Parenting is amazing.

"It's only been two-and-a-half days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy."

Harry said they were looking forward to spending some "precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up."

Asked who the baby takes after, Meghan said: "We're still trying to figure that out."

Harry said: "Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks.

"We're basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows."

Asked about going to see the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Meghan said: "We just bumped into the Duke as we were walking by, which was so nice.

"So it'll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family, and my mum's with us as well."

Harry added: "Another great-grandchild."

Later, asked to show more of their son's face to the cameras, Meghan laughed as Harry joked: "He's already got a little bit of facial hair as well, wonderful."

Meghan added: "Thank you everybody for all the well wishes and kindness, it just means so much."

The couple said they were about to visit 93-year-old Elizabeth at the castle to allow her to meet her eighth great-grandchild.

At dawn on Monday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a healthy baby boy weighing 7lbs 3oz.

The couple broke with tradition by opting not to pose for photos on the hospital steps after the birth.

Instead a visibly excited Harry announced the arrival of his son in a surprise interview near their Windsor home on Monday afternoon.

He praised his wife Meghan and said their baby was "absolutely to die for".

Family members spoke about the joy of the new arrival with the Duke of Cambridge saying on Tuesday he was "obviously thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and obviously looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down".

He added: "I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting."

Baby Sussex arrived at 5.26am on Monday, weighing 7lb 3oz, and is thought to have been born at Frogmore Cottage, but there are some reports claiming the baby was delivered in a London hospital.

The new photos will delight fans, many of whom were disappointed about not getting a hospital photo that has become traditional since Princess Diana started the trend with sons William and Harry.

However Meghan and Harry took a slightly different approach, inviting just a few select photographers and members of the press today rather than the entire world's media.

While some fans weren't happy about the change others praised Meghan, saying that posing for perfect snaps hours after giving birth are unrealistic

'Meghan is now expected to take maternity leave for several months, and Harry will also have some time off as paternity leave - although he does fly off to the Netherlands later this week.

The couple have openly spoken about how excited they are to become parents since announcing their happy news on the eve of their Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand in October.

The new baby will grow up at the couple's new Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, which has just undergone a huge renovation.

Prince George 'Predicted' Meghan Markle's Baby's Name with Bizarre Comment to Dog Walker

Prince George baffled a dog walker with the remark back in January, but it might have been an important clue about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal baby

Prince George

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will probably be very excited to have a new baby cousin.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's boy was born on Monday, but it doesn't seem like they've had a chance to meet little Archie yet.

But it turns out that George might already have a rather unusual connection to his new cousin - and it's all because of his name.

Earlier this year the little Prince baffled a dog walker by telling them his name was Archie when he was out with his sister and granny Carole Middleton.
