Oh my dear, Jesus did die for our sins. By his shed blood he covers our sins if we would only believe and repent for there is NO other way to salvation but by Jesus, Yeshua. If you should ever read God's word you would see that shown by the first Passover when the Hebrews put lambs blood over their doors so the death angel would pass over their dwelling place. Jesus is our Lamb of Salvation and only Jesus.
Read the Bible if only as you would read any other book and you will be amazed by the truth that will be revealed to you. In Genesis though when ya get to all of those begats, you might want to just skip over them. That usually will put you to sleep. Other than that it is truly, truly an amazing story filled with many prophecies which many are being fulfilled as we live and breath.
Love to all
