Default emachines e732 bios password

Hi Guys,
I have taken this opportunity to post information that cannot be found on any forum regarding the removal of the BIOS password on a new Acer emachines E732 Notebook.

Believe me, I spent the weekend searching and came up with noting until now.

Acer has password protected the BIOS Supervisor Password
When you press the F2 key to make changes for Bootup sequence you are required to enter a password. Without the password you cannot enter, and hence you cannot bootup from any bootup disc.

Acer asks for the return of the Notebook plus $100 to remove the password.
Real Cheek, wouldn't you say considering you own the Notebook.

Worry no more as I have found out a way to have the password removed.

Here is what I did .....

eMachines Official Site: Home

Select Products Tab
Select Customer Care
Select .....
Drivers & Downloads
Drivers and Software Downloads for Desktops, Notebooks, Netbooks and Monitors.

eMachines Support - Welcome to eMachines Support

Select Catergory:
Netbook
Notebook
Desktop
Monitor

Select Series:
D Series
E Series
G Series
M Series
N Series
Others
W Series

Select Model:
From E440 through to E732

Confirm Model

I selected the model E732 wich is what my friend has, and it opened the next page .....

eMachines Support - Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook / E Series / E732

Then I selected BIOS Tab

Then I selected download for .....
1. Fixes set HDD password, resuming from S3 will stay at 0xC9 for a while.
2. Fixes the asset tag would be filled out with some error characters if the text is not 32 characters.

Saved .....
BIOS_eMachines_1.11_A_A

Installed it on Laptop and let it do it's thingo including reboot.
Half way through reboot I shut down the machine, rebooted and pressed F2
and it entered into the BIOS setup without asking for a password.

Pass this info to all and sundry and avoid paying ACER $100

Cheers
